The meeting was called to order at 2pm by Jerry Zimowske. The minutes of the last meeting were approved with two corrections. The spring tournament banner will be 6' x 4', and the sponsor is "Wells Fargo Advisors"

Treasurer report:
$4018.31 in the checking and $2600.00, in the savings account. We are using about 5 dozen pickleballs per month.

Tournament Update: Helmut had 2 meetings with the Wells Fargo Advisors. WFA will cover all tournament cost except raffle prizes. We will also add a Mr. Pickle logo to the banner, as the deli will be providing the sandwiches. T-shirts will have our pickleball logo on the front and the Wells Fargo Advisors and tournament name on the back.

The format for the tournament:
First 34 men and 34 women to sign up will be entered. (plus subs)
Players will be placed in 3 brackets
Top 4 teams from first day will move to 2nd day.
Top 2 teams from 2nd day will move to 3rd and final day.
Partners will change after each match.
It will be Double elimination, Mixed doubles.

Motion made by Carl Lee to charge a $15.00 entry fee, was seconded and passed. There will be a 1/2 page add in the compass advertising the tournament.

We currently have 209 paid members. Nineteen of these are first time members joining in 2012. We have 500 on our e-mail list. (Friends of Pickleball)

The suggestion of charitable donations was discussed. Carl Lee made a motion to use our pickleball funds for pickleball activities only. It was seconded and passed.

Sherry Mosby made a motion to raffle off 4 memberships to non-members, at the Club Expo. It was seconded and passed.
